Mike is a technology public relations specialist who has held senior-level positions at leading national Public Relations and Marketing Communication agencies. He previously served as the associate director of public relations at Henderson Advertising in Greenville, S.C. He currently manages a successful independent practice dedicated to industrial B2B clients from his home office in Marion, N.C.
Mike has pitched and placed hundreds of news releases, feature articles, technical papers and other materials in trade and consumer publications in the Americas, Europe and Asia. He has helped clients positively impact business through coverage in media such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Parade, PC Magazine, Advanced Materials & Composites News, Paint & Coatings Industry, Asia Pacific Development, Chemical Market Reporter and others.
During his career, Mike has provided strategic planning, counsel, media training and tactical support to many international technology-focused corporations including Arkema Emulsion Systems, MTS Sensors, The Dow Chemical Company, DaimlerChrysler Commercial Vehicles, Michelin Earthmover and Industrial Tires, FilmTec Corporation, UCAR Emulsion Systems, Alemite Fluid Management and others. Likewise, he supported numerous start up and pre-IPO companies as they made the leap from unknowns to successful businesses. These included Zipit, LLC., Multimedia Design Corporation, Emily Ray Jewelry and many others.
He has a depth of knowledge and has written extensively about many highly technical topics, including construction equipment, advanced coatings, composites, chemicals, plastics, ebusiness, wireless communications, technical research initiatives and others.
Mike also provided communication counsel and support during several large-scale business initiatives, including M&As, new industry outreach efforts, response to changing regulatory standards, crisis response and the introduction/support for the chemical industry’s first successful ebusiness sales venture.
